Adecco MVP BEFC Friendly Cup 2017 - Nobuyuki Ariyoshi

  • Friendly Cup 2017 Adecco BEFC Most Valuable Player - Nobuyuki Ariyoshi

This year's Friendly Cup was played in beautiful weather in a Mixed 7s format hosted by NSK at their Saginuma ground. The larger space and natural grass created a whole different style than previous futsal competitions as the five teams battled it out (in a friendly manner of course) for the coveted Friendly Cup trophy.

One special rule this year was all teams should try and field a mixed team. If a team was not mixed the opposition captain could select a player on the non-mixed team who would not be allowed to score marked by a yellow bib (their goals would be disallowed). When it came down to the MVP nominations it should then be little surprise that the player who was forced into wearing the yellow bib the most times also got the most plaudits.

Little did most of the teams know that their nomination just happened to be the reigning holder of the MVP award from 2016! Nobuyuki Ariyoshi continued his fine form to stand out on the field and impress the other teams with his slick skills, quick pace and ability to influence matches even under the hex of the yellow bib.

So with great delight and opportunity to tease Nobu over wearing the yellow bib so many times -- the Friendly Cup 2017 Adecco BEFC Most Valuable Player Award goes once again to Nobuyuki Ariyoshi!!
