BEFC reach the Semi-Finals of the Summer 7s Cup as the club's performance continues to rocket in all competitions.

BEFC's performance in 7s competitions a few season back was pretty dire. Rarely escaping the group stages, we hadn't really figured out how to play 7s despite our best efforts.
Then over the last two summer competitions Vice Captain Jorge spearheaded the triumphant winning of the Plate competition back to back, inspiring the rest of us that, maybe, maybe we aren't that bad. However up until then BEFC never considered going after the Cup as a target. This has changed.

Riding along with BEFC's fantastic 11s season, BEFC made a statement in the Charity 7s by clean sweeping it's group only to be unfortunately knocked out in the quarters.
This Summer 7s, led by Vice Captain Kaz, BEFC had eyes of the cup without lady luck getting in their way.

Clearing the group stages undefeated BEFC beat out the eventual Plate Winners on the way, already showing they were all about the Cup now.
They dispatched Oakwood Clash 3-0 in the quarters, which also featured retired BEFC veteran Sato.

BEFC faced off against Division 1 team Panthers who coincidental we played in a pre-season friendly a week before.
It was a tough and close fought match, with Panthers eventually winning through a breakway counter attack.

This was a great performance, showing that BEFC are mixing it with the Division 1 big boys, and was duly noted by the TML and other teams.
Well done lads!
